    The District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles (DC DMV) seeks a contractor to provide daily temporary staffing services at multiple DMV locations. The objective of this solicitation is to support the DMV’s organizational mission through supplemental, temporary staffing services. We need one lot attendant to work eight hours per day, two days a week at 95 M Street, one lot attendant to work eight hours per day, two days a week at Benning Ridge, one lot attendant to work eight hours a day, three days a week at Brentwood, and one support services assistant to work eight hours a day, five days a week at 95 M Street for a period of ninety days. The DMV wishes to set up a contract with a company to provide these services.

    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
    The Contractor shall provide the following temporary staff to provide services:
    Support Services Assistant (General Clerk I)-
    Support services work eight hours a day, five days a week at 95 M Street, N.W., for a period of ninety days. (90 days)- 3 months.
    Providing the following services:
    • Ability to sort mail,
    • deliver packages,
    • stock shelves,
    • count inventory
    • and lift boxes up to a weight of 40 lbs.
    • Good Customer Service Skills
    • ability to de-escalate minor customer service situations, as needed. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with DMV customers and team members.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and who is be able to drive government vehicles, including vans.
    • DC Residency

    BACKGROUND VERIFICATION:
    A review of criminal, immigration, and FBI records. Any candidate who has been convicted or found not guilty by reason of insanity (by a military or civilian court) in the past seven years, was released from prison in the past five years, or is wanted or under indictment for committing certain felonies or who has been found mentally incompetent will not be permitted to work at the DC DMV. The check must also verify that the candidate is a U.S. Citizen or a lawful permanent resident as required by law. Failure to pass such a background check will disqualify a candidate from serving as temporary staff at the DC DMV under this contract.

    Drug and Alcohol Screening

    The Contractor shall conduct pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. The temporary staff must be subject to random drug and alcohol testing by the Contractor. Failure to pass such a test will disqualify the individual immediately from serving as a temporary employee at the DC DMV under this contract.

    HOURS:
    The support services assistant shall report to work on-time. The exact start time to report to work shall be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and will be determine by the DMV site manager upon award of the contract.

    • Good customer services skills, as they are required to interact with DMV customers on a continuous basis.

    • Report to work timely, every day of your assignment.

    • Have the capability to direct traffic in a busy parking lot.
    • Must have the capability of determining when to direct customers to use public parking, typically when the parking lot is full.
    • Have the capability to de-escalate minor customer situations such as disputes over a parking space.

    Systems Administrator

    1 position Chesapeake, VA

    • 3-5 years of Server Administration experience (2012 or higher)
    • 3+ years of virtualization experience with VMware including vCenter or MS Hyper-V including Virtual Machine Manager (VMware 4.1 or higher/Hyper-V 2008R2 or higher)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day task execution in support of the program.  The candidate will be responsible to the Customer for:

    Managing team members’ lines of effort and workflows;

    Providing strategic direction on all research projects, to include knowledge of research best practices, agency and industry tools, and the various targeting threats being worked (foreign fighters, transnational criminal organizations, illicit trade and finance, and special interest aliens) in order to help complete criminal network assessments, develop target profiles, and conduct comprehensive risk analysis;  Providing quality assurance reviews on all research  projects;  Providing guidance to the customer on strategic program planning issues such as emerging technologies and future threats;  Designing, developing and delivering specialized communication aids (papers, press releases, presentations) to be used by and for executive leaders throughout the USG;

    Job Functions:
    Responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. Writes and edits technical documentation for all of the project’s hardware and software to include installation, configuration and how-to documentation. Creates code documentation for software; produces implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; provides field, data definition, and data flow documentation and formats technical publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources.

    Qualifications:
    Eight (8) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required. A Master’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to six (6) years of experience. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional technical writing experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

    Linux Systems Admin

    3-4 Linux Systems Admins in Chesapeake, VA (location is closer to the North Carolina border).  TS/SCI is required, no exceptions.  Salary is $85,000-$110,000.

    • Requirements skills:

    Network Engineer
    1. Assist the network staff with daily management of servers, create and manage user accounts, access to files, rights to groups, etc.
    2. On call duties as part of the on-call rotation, which is one week every six (6) weeks and is a 24-hour day. While on-call during business hours the TO Contractor Personnel are required to answer the on-call phone as well as respond to on-call email. After hours, phone calls to on-call are to be answered immediately and emails responded to (if necessary) by the next morning.
    3. Attend staff meetings as well as other meetings as required. Document knowledge base as well as create, update and maintain documentation for the Office of Information Technology (OIT).
    4. Participate in the planning and execution of infrastructure development, to include patching, expansion and enhancement.
    5. Participate in training sessions, team meetings and meetings with others within MDOT SHA as required.
